Monday, 1st December 2008
As demand for sustainable solutions continues to grow, Shouksmiths’ North West Division is currently utilising its expertise in this area with its work on the Abbots Place residential, new build development in Prestwich, which is being constructed by Richardson Homes.
The project, due for completion next year, features the installation of solar panels, which Shouksmiths is installing as part of its mechanical services contract.
Richardson Homes are committed to adhering to the Code for Sustainable Homes, which focuses on reducing carbon performance and energy efficiency. During the construction of Abbots Place, it will be constantly striving to achieve a rating of 3 under the Code, thereby providing a high quality and sustainable alternative to other properties currently available in the area.
“Richardson Homes are committed to the use of renewable energy and our internal Code Assessor helped to ensure that the design of Abbots Place contained many of the features aimed at achieving Code level 3.” said Siobhan Campbell, Marketing Manager for Richardson Homes.
Shouksmiths’ North West Division, based in Bolton, is also currently working on industrial units at Greenvale, Littleborough for Beva Construction, Parrenthorn High School, Bury for Cruden Construction and apartments in Stockport for S A Developments.
