Local Building Services Company Named As Finalists In Prestigious National Awards

J H Shouksmith and Sons Ltd. has been named as a finalist in the 10th Annual Building Services Awards, organised by the Building Services Journal and Electrical and Mechanical Contractor magazines. The Awards aim to recognise the building service industry’s top performers and encourage higher standards throughout the sector.
The company has been short listed against four other companies from across the UK in the highly contested ‘Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Contractor of the Year’ category. Within its entry, it had to demonstrate a successful strategy of growth and development, a tangible commitment to training and employee development, and provide a specific example of how the skills and expertise of the company manifested themselves in the completion of a successful project.
The project selected for the entry was The Plaza student accommodation project in Leeds, which was led by M&E Project Manager David Shouksmith, a descendant of the company’s founder Joseph Shouksmith. David, along with other representatives from the company, will be attending a glittering ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London on June 25th, where the Winners will be announced in front of over 1,000 guests from the whole of the construction industry.
