Energy efficient solutions installed on new care home

Shouksmiths' York Division has just completed another project for Strata Construction, this time on an 80 bedroom extra care scheme developed by Sanctuary Group at a site known as Roman Ridge, Sheffield.
The building services contract, valued at £800,000, included the installation of an energy efficient biomass boiler which will provide 20% of the required heat in the building. In addition to the boiler, Shouksmiths also installed under floor heating throughout the whole of the building, another energy efficient feature which is becoming more and more popular.
Peter Cookland, Shouksmiths' York Divisional Director said: "Sanctuary is well known for their commitment to 'green' projects and we were delighted to have the opportunity to work with them on this project with Strata Construction."
