Shouksmiths ‘highly commended’ at the regional Apprenticeship Awards

JH Shouksmith & Sons Ltd. received a ‘highly commended’ award at the prestigious regional Apprenticeship Awards held in Leeds recently, organised by the National Apprenticeship Service. Designed to celebrate the achievements of apprentices and the businesses that employ them, Shouksmiths’ award was in the category of Medium Size Employer of the Year for supporting and advancing apprentices.
The Company currently employs 11 apprentices in our three Yorkshire divisions in the areas of plumbing, heating and electrical work. The apprenticeships are provided in partnership with Leeds College of Building and Sheffield City College.
John Miller, managing director of J H Shouksmith & Sons Ltd. said: “Our business and our industry depend on a skilled workforce. Apprenticeships play a key role in ensuring those skills are learnt and we are delighted to be recognised for our commitment to them.”
